Re-Check-In

Note: You can only re-check-in a guest in on the day they were checked out.  

The Check-out function allows you to check a guest out of your property, after which their Folio for this visit will become HISTORY rather than In-house (FOL). If you have, for some reason, checked a guest out that needs to be checked in again, you can do this using this Re-check-in command. Once complete, the stay's status changes (back) from HIST to FOL.

 

To Re-Check-In a guest:

 

 

The Select Guest to Re-Check-in screen appears, showing a list of the guests eligible for re-check-in. Click the <<Press to Search>> link to display all eligible guests.

Note: The default setting for the screen is to have the History, No-Shows and Wait List option boxes checked. Use these checkboxes across the top to generate a list of the types of Folios desired.

If the list provided is very large, use the search fields to enter information and limit the search results.

Note: When entering information into the search fields, you do NOT need to hit return or enter - if you do so, this is the equivalent of clicking the <<Press to Search>> link and will generate the search.

From the search results, click the row of the guest you wish to re-check-in.

You will be taken to the Reservation Wizard, where you can move through the various screens to select the appropriate options ( if you need to check them into a different room or PERM room, post charges, etc).

Once you have made any appropriate selections, click Finish. This will take you to the Folio screen where the status will now once again be In-House (FOL).

 

Note: If the guest is considered a No-Show or Wait List rather than History, the screen you will be taken to is the Check-In screen for that selected guest. From here you can complete the (initial) check-In process, or click the Advanced Check-In button to use the Check-In Wizard to do so. Again, clicking Finish will take you to the Folio screen where the status will now be In-House (FOL).
